About the role
The Registered Nurse assesses, manages, and provides comprehensive nursing care during a patient's hospital stay, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure patient-centered care.
- Performs thorough assessments, documents findings, and reassesses patient conditions regularly.
- Develops, coordinates, and evaluates individualized care plans based on assessments, diagnoses, and physician orders.
- Delivers and documents nursing interventions, administers medications, and communicates with team members for optimal patient outcomes.
- Provides patient and family education, discharge planning, and involves family in decision-making.
- Recognizes changes in patient status, responds appropriately, and manages specialized care such as restraints, pain, and abuse assessments.
- Ensures adherence to safety, infection control, and professional standards, maintaining a clean, safe environment.
- Communicates effectively, demonstrates professionalism, and fosters teamwork and respectful relationships.
- Engages in performance improvement, evidence-based practices, and quality initiatives.
- Provides age-appropriate care, utilizes resources efficiently, and maintains mandatory licensure and certifications.
Requirements
- Current RN licensure
- BLS certification
- Proficiency in clinical, technical, and communication skills
- Ability to adapt to changing demands and work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Knowledge of infection control, safety protocols, and patient-centered care principles
