RN Transfer Specialist II - Transfer Center - PRN - 3rd Shift

About the role

The Transfer Specialist accurately listens and responds appropriately to requests from transferring physicians, hospitals, inter-departments, and co-workers. Ensures all paperwork and computer entry are checked for accuracy and continually enhances knowledge regarding processes.

Requirements

• Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Experience required:
• Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
• Alabama RN licenses required.
• Previous critical care experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Additional Skills/Abilities:
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude toward members of the health care team (sending and receiving facilities) and diverse patient population.
• Exhibits diplomacy and time management skills.
• Demonstrates efficiency and organizational skills with the ability to do more than one task at a time and appropriately triage the order of tasks based on urgency of the need.
• Ability to use multi-line telephones.
• Computer skills required; word and excel preferred.
