RN Transfer Specialist II - Transfer Center - PRN - 3rd Shift
About the role
The Transfer Specialist accurately listens and responds appropriately to requests from transferring physicians, hospitals, inter-departments, and co-workers. Transfer specialist ensures all paperwork and computer entry is checked for accuracy and continually enhances his or her knowledge regarding processes. Transfer Specialist gives high priority to customer service.
Responsibilities

- Works weekends and holidays as scheduled
Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited school of nursing
- Alabama RN licenses required
- Previous critical care experience preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude toward members of the health care team (sending and receiving facilities) and diverse patient population
- Exhibits diplomacy and time management skills
- Demonstrates efficiency and organizational skills with the ability to do more than one task at a time and appropriately triage the order of tasks based on urgency of the need
- Ability to use multi-line telephones
- Computer skills required; word and excel preferred
