RN Throughput Coordinator - Evening/Night

Role: Registered Nurse (RN) Throughput Coordinator responsible for optimizing patient flow and hospital capacity. Key Responsibilities Coordinate safe, timely, and equitable patient placement using clinical judgment and interdisciplinary collaboration.Promote critical thinking, evidence-based decision-making, patient-centered care, and process improvement.Act as a liaison among nursing units, providers, ED, procedural areas, and ancillary departments.Oversee hospital-wide patient flow to support high-quality outcomes. Qualifications & Skills Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s preferred.Current, unrestricted RN license in Illinois and BLS certification.Minimum three years of progressive acute care nursing experience, including at least one year in leadership roles.Demonstrated leadership, conflict resolution, communication, and staff development skills.Knowledge of hospital throughput systems and strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
