About the role
The Registered Nurse Supervisor at Sanzie Healthcare Services Inc. is responsible for overseeing the implementation of the client's service plan, conducting initial assessments, providing nursing services, supervising Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and other home health aides, and ensuring compliance with medical protocols.
Responsibilities
- Complete the establishment and implementation of the client's service plan in collaboration with the staff providing the client's services.
- Regularly assess the nursing needs of the client and conduct an initial face-to-face assessment at the client's home.
- Provide nursing services as outlined in the client's service plan.
- Work with clients and their families to access the home environment and determine their needs.
- Report problems and progress to the supervisor and relevant personnel or the client's physicians.
- Supervise CNAs and other home health aides, performing annual assessments and evaluations of their performance.
- Admit and assess clients to services and complete clinical documentation.
- Supervise supervisory visits as needed, addressing complaints about services and ensuring client satisfaction.
- Provide hands-on care, case management, and evaluation of the Plan of Care, educating clients and families on proper care and treatment.
- Revise the plan in consultation with the physician based on ongoing assessments.
- Adequately assess and reassess pain, utilize appropriate pain management techniques, and educate clients and families regarding pain management.
- Ensure the safety of the client's environment to reduce the likelihood of medical or health care errors.
- Report any changes in the client's condition to the client's physician.
- Demonstrate knowledge of medications and their correct administration based on the client's age and clinical position.
- Assist new caregivers with orientation and annual evaluations.
- Perform supervisory visits to each client to observe the caregiver and advise proper care and procedures, if necessary, and ensure client satisfaction.
Requirements
Must have a current RN license, experience in home health care, and a strong understanding of medical protocols and pain management techniques.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.
