RN Supervisor - Registered Nurse - Operating Room

About the Role

The RN Nurse Supervisor in the operating room organizes and manages nursing services within their specialty area. They assist in planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating patient care operations, and may assume managerial duties as delegated. The role ensures quality improvement, supports clinical outcomes, and maintains service excellence with fairness, integrity, and compassion.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support staff, including orientation of new team members.
• Assist in operational planning and evaluation within the OR setting.
• Demonstrate fiscal responsibility and uphold clinical standards.
• Promote continuous quality improvement and patient satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of nursing education; BSN preferred.
• Valid RN license or temporary permit in the practice state.
• Minimum of 3 years healthcare experience; OR RN experience and leadership skills preferred.
• CPR certification required; CNOR certification preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Stand and walk for extended periods.
• Perform physical tasks such as reaching, bending, kneeling, and twisting.
