RN Supervisor (Direct Care)
Job Summary
Are you ready for the challenge of making a difference in the lives of others? Lafayette Manor nursing home is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse Supervisor (RN Supervisor) for their 1st shift (7 AM to 7 PM).
Responsibilities
- Ensure proper medical management of each resident
- Take on the role of liaison between physicians, hospitals, family members and other medical personnel to ensure resident plan of care is followed
- Make daily resident visits to observe and evaluate the resident's physical and emotional status and to direct the day-to-day functions of the nursing activities in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern long-term care facilities
- Supervise other nursing service personnel and ensure medication passes and scheduled treatments are being administered as ordered by the physician
- Think independently, supervise staff, and work as a team member for the good of the resident
Qualifications
- Compassionate working with geriatric patients
- Preferred Nursing experience in a LTC or skilled nursing facility setting
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania
- Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience in a healthcare environment
- Strong knowledge of nursing practices, patient care standards, and regulatory requirements
- Basic proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and documentation systems
