Direct Care Staff Supervisor

About the role

Assists in the day-to-day activities of the clients and oversees direct care staff.

Responsibilities

• Sets work schedules to provide proper coverage according to staffing patterns and budget
• Interviews and hires for direct care staff vacancies
• Makes compliance rounds daily
• Makes orientation scheduling for new staff
• Directly trains and re-trains DCS on general policies, care techniques and compliance issues
• Counsels with DCS regarding job performance as needed and reviews disciplinary actions that are to be issued
• Requisitions and monitors supplies needed for DCS to provide proper care
• Maintains attendance records on DCS according to policies
• Maintains and monitors DCS in-service records
• Fulfills all facility, company and partner services policies
• Completes and submits, as required or assigned, performance evaluations for DCS
• Operates at all times within ICF/MR regulations and all state and federal laws
