About the role
The Supervisor, RN Shift is responsible for the supervision of the Skilled Nursing facility for his/her particular shift. They also oversee administrative and professional working policies, supervise and delegate responsibilities, and ensure clinical duties and unit activities meet quality patient care standards.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and delegate responsibilities to ensure quality patient care
- Administer and enforce administrative and professional working policies
- Provide care appropriate to the age of the residents served on the unit
- Achieve resident requirements based on age-specific needs
- Assess and interpret data reflective of the resident's status
- Exercise full supervision over all disciplines in the absence of Administration
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited Nursing Program preferred
- Minimum of three (3) years work experience as a Registered Nurse in a long-term care setting required with one (1) year in a supervisory capacity
Special Employment Requirements
- Clearances required: PA State Police criminal history check and PA Department of Aging FBI fingerprint clearance (if applicable)
- Current license as a Registered Nurse issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nurse Examiners required
- Demonstrated administrative ability, supervisory capabilities, and reliability
- Good management skills
- CPR Certification required or must be obtained and maintained
- Maintain standards of nursing care and implement policies and procedures of the Nursing Department and Allied Services
- Knowledge of Federal and State Regulations
