About the Role
RN Supervisor in a skilled nursing facility, overseeing unit activities, staff, and patient care in a supportive environment with a dedication to resident well-being and team collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Organize, supervise, and coordinate nursing staff and unit operations.
- Monitor, observe, and document vital signs, treatments, and patient responses.
- Administer medications and treatments as needed.
- Communicate with team members, residents, families, and medical staff regarding care plans and concerns.
- Identify and respond appropriately to patient needs and emergencies.
- Perform resident assessments following incidents or condition changes.
- Lead emergency responses and maintain accurate documentation including staffing and census reports.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and external vendors/services.
- Implement disciplinary actions per policy.
Requirements
- Current RN license in New York with a good standing.
- Experience with geriatric, rehabilitation, or Alzheimer’s patients preferred.
- Progressive nursing experience in a geriatric setting; supervisory experience is a plus.
- Strong commitment to providing compassionate, quality care.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, remain flexible, and collaborate harmoniously with staff.
- Patience and willingness to assist residents and colleagues.
