RN Supervisor

About the Role

RN Supervisor in a skilled nursing facility, overseeing unit activities, staff, and patient care in a supportive environment with a dedication to resident well-being and team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Organize, supervise, and coordinate nursing staff and unit operations.
• Monitor, observe, and document vital signs, treatments, and patient responses.
• Administer medications and treatments as needed.
• Communicate with team members, residents, families, and medical staff regarding care plans and concerns.
• Identify and respond appropriately to patient needs and emergencies.
• Perform resident assessments following incidents or condition changes.
• Lead emergency responses and maintain accurate documentation including staffing and census reports.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and external vendors/services.
• Implement disciplinary actions per policy.

Requirements

• Current RN license in New York with a good standing.
• Experience with geriatric, rehabilitation, or Alzheimer’s patients preferred.
• Progressive nursing experience in a geriatric setting; supervisory experience is a plus.
• Strong commitment to providing compassionate, quality care.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, remain flexible, and collaborate harmoniously with staff.
• Patience and willingness to assist residents and colleagues.
