About the Role
RN Supervisor in a skilled nursing facility.
Responsibilities
- Organizing, overseeing, and supervising unit activities and staff assignments.
- Demonstrating clinical expertise consistent with Nursing Practice standards.
- Monitoring, observing, and documenting vital signs, treatments, and patient responses.
- Administering medications and treatments as needed.
- Communicating with interdisciplinary teams, residents, families, and medical staff.
- Identifying and responding to patient needs promptly.
- Leading emergency responses such as fire alarms and elopements.
- Maintaining accurate reports, staffing sheets, and census records.
- Performing assessments following incidents or changes in patient condition.
Requirements
- Current RN license in New York with good standing.
- Experience with geriatric, rehabilitation, or Alzheimer's patients preferred.
- Progressive nursing experience, supervisory experience a plus.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, be flexible, and collaborate well with staff.
- Patience and dedication to providing compassionate, quality care.
- Willingness to assist residents and co-workers as needed.
