About the role

The Nurse Manager 2 leads a team responsible for the Hospitality-Discharge Lounge, Staffing and Patient Placement, Patient Transport, House Supervisor Team, CNA Float Pool, Clinical Lift Team, and the Transfer Center. Key responsibilities include ensuring compliance with standards of practice, managing clinical operations, collaborating with Managed Service Providers, analyzing data, and fostering relationships across the health system.

Responsibilities

• Leadership responsibility for departmental, clinical, staffing, quality, and financial management
• Ensures an effective patient care delivery system compliant with standards of practice
• Implements strategies, processes, and standards to support organizational and departmental initiatives
• Acts as primary point of contact for clinical contract/contingency staff, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration
• Oversees MSP invoicing and analyzes staffing trends, performance metrics, and cost-effectiveness
• Promotes collegial relationships between Clinical Care Operations and other departments or disciplines
• Provides leadership to the Transfer Center to support patient transfers and transport
• Manages various teams to ensure smooth communication and collaboration

Requirements

• Must possess the skill, knowledge, and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
• Bachelor of Science, Nursing
• Basic Life Support
• Registered Nurse
• Must demonstrate excellent customer service skills
• Manage multiple concurrent projects and maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
• Prior management experience in an acute care setting
• Knowledge of Title 22 and Joint Commission Requirements
• Demonstrated ability to effectively collect, analyze, and interpret data, including report creation and data validation
• Prior experience in unit specific service line business
