RN Stepdown to ICU Transition Nurse

About the Role

Provides patient care utilizing the nursing process, ensuring professional accountability and maintaining patient rights and confidentiality. Evaluates care effectiveness and coordinates with other departments to deliver comprehensive care, aligning with organizational standards.

Supports career development through a Step-Down to ICU Career Path Program, gaining specialized skills and preparing for ICU transfer within 12-18 months.

• Build clinical knowledge, critical thinking, assessment, and communication skills.
• Develop core nursing skills and expand expertise in chosen specialty areas.

Requirements

• Graduated from an accredited nursing program (Associate's, Diploma, or BSN).
• Maintains current RN licensure in the appropriate state or jurisdiction.
• Possesses or acquires Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
• Additional certifications (e.g., ACLS, PALS, TNCC) may be required based on unit needs.
• Physical ability to lift 50 lbs, stand, walk, and perform related physical tasks.
