RN - Stepdown/Critical Care

About the Role

Provides direct nursing care requiring complex assessments and interventions, following organizational policies and protocols.

Responsibilities

• Gather comprehensive patient data from patients, families, and healthcare team to assess needs.
• Analyze assessment data to determine diagnoses and care conditions.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to set and achieve optimal outcomes.
• Develop and implement care plans, ensuring safety and coordination.
• Evaluate care processes and progress toward goals.
• Maintain current knowledge, contribute to nursing quality, and communicate effectively.
• Apply evidence-based practices tailored to patient age and clinical needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned, working safely and alertly.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program or equivalent.
• Valid RN license and necessary certifications (e.g., BLS, ALS, PALS, ENPC, NRP, TNCC) as per state requirements.
• Strong communication, clinical judgment, and teamwork skills.

Physical & Other Requirements

• Frequent walking, standing, lifting, reaching, and data entry.
• Ability to recognize odors and sounds.
• Occasional patient lifting and movement.
• Driving may be required.
