RN Staff - Part Time - Emergency Services (Day Shift)
About the role
Responsible and accountable for a group of patients during a designated time frame and to provide care to these patients via therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, the environment/instrumentation, and other health care team members. Supervises the activities of Licensed Practical Nurses, Unit Assistants, Monitor Technicians, Certified Nursing Assistance, Nurse Technicians, unit clerks and Paramedic technicians.
Responsibilities
- Provide care to patients via therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, the environment/instrumentation, and other health care team members.
- Supervise the activities of various healthcare support staff.
Requirements
- Successfully completed Board Certified Nursing Program.
- Current LA RN licensure.
- Current BLS, ALS, and PALS certifications (ALS/PALS within 6 months of hire).
- One Year Of Acute Emergency Department Experience Preferred.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must possess good physical health.
- Some requirements include but are not limited to standing, sitting or walking for long periods of time.
- Lifting at least 20 pounds is required.
- Must be able to work with a moderate level of noise.
