Patient Population and Specialties Served
- Adult cardiology, including pacemaker placement, congestive heart failure (CHF), acute coronary syndrome (ACS), and telemetry
- Medical-surgical care for conditions such as diabetes mellitus (DM), chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), asthma, end-stage renal disease (ESRD), dialysis, and addiction
- Primary diagnoses: acute coronary syndrome, chest pain, pre- and post-cardiac procedure patients (permanent pacers, ICD, coronary angiograms), congestive heart failure, patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring, continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis (CAPD), general medical, stable tracheostomy, seizure monitoring, addiction-related illness, and psychiatric patients needing acute medical intervention
Responsibilities
- Provide patient care within an assigned department/unit as a member of the healthcare team, under the direction of the clinical manager or designee
- Assess, analyze, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in alignment with Legacy Health System’s standards, including those for patient assessment and transfer
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care
Requirements
- Current applicable state RN license
- AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers certification
Qualifications
- Education: As required by licensure. BSN or degree in progress strongly preferred. BSN may be required for specific assignments; experienced RNs without a BSN may be hired based on clinical experience with approval of the site Chief Nursing Officer (CNO).
- Experience: One year of registered nursing experience or completion of either the Legacy Health RN Residency program or an equivalent nursing program in content, curriculum, and duration. Additional clinical experience requirements may vary by department.
- Knowledge/Skills:
- Demonstrated ability to communicate positively and effectively with colleagues, patients, families, physicians, and the community
- Proficiency in keyboard skills and navigation of electronic systems applicable to job functions
Pay
USD $54.37 - USD $81.21 per hour.
