RN- Cardiac Progressive Care Unit
About the Role
Full-time Registered Nurse position on the night shift, scheduled for 36 hours per week with 12-hour shifts, including weekend rotation and holiday commitment. This role is in the 19-bed Progressive Care Unit specializing in caring for patients with complex cardiac conditions such as congestive heart failure (CHF), chest pain, and atrial fibrillation with rapid ventricular response (RVR). The unit is telemetry-equipped, providing continuous cardiac monitoring and managing cardiac drips and stable ventilator patients.
The Registered Nurse is accountable for managing patient care during a designated timeframe, coordinating and evaluating care, teaching, and delegating patient activities to other healthcare team members using the nursing process and environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate patient care during designated shifts.
- Evaluate and deliver care using the nursing process.
- Provide teaching and delegate patient activities to healthcare team members.
- Deliver exceptional treatment in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Utilize critical thinking and specialized cardiac care skills.
Requirements
- Associate degree in Nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred or must agree in writing to obtain a BSN within five years.
- Current RN licensure in the State of Michigan required.
- BLS certification required.
- Previous medical-surgical experience preferred.
- Computer proficiency and excellent customer service skills.
