RN - Cardiac Progressive Care

About the role

The Cardiac Progressive Care Unit at St. Jude Medical Center cares for both telemetry and step-down patients with a variety of cardiovascular and medical conditions. Nurses in this unit collaborate to deliver safe, high-quality care while building expertise in cardiac monitoring, progressive care nursing, and patient education.

Responsibilities

• Care for a diverse patient population, including post-cardiac procedure patients, heart failure, arrhythmias, stroke, and vascular surgery patients.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and quality care.
• Provide patient education and support.
• Monitor patients and adjust treatments as necessary.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• California Registered Nurse License upon hire.
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
• National Provider ACLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
• One year of nursing experience.

Qualifications

• Current CPR certification.
• Knowledge of cardiac monitoring and progressive care nursing principles.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

Pay

The base pay range for this position is $54.05 - $83.90 per hour. Additional compensation may be available.

Schedule

This position is full-time and multiple shifts are available.
