About the role
We provide direct patient care in a specialty unit, coordinating care across disciplines and ensuring patient education and safety.
Responsibilities
- Collaborates with other healthcare professionals to plan and implement patient care.
- Evaluates patient learning needs and provides appropriate education.
- Delegates tasks to support staff effectively.
- Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care based on assessments.
- Maintains accurate documentation and communicates patient status.
Requirements
- Accredited Nursing Program
- ACLS, BLS certifications
- Registered Nurse License (RN LICENSE) - State of Florida (FL)
- One (1) year of nursing experience required
Qualifications
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required for certain areas
- PALS required for pediatric areas
- APHON Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Provider card required for oncology
- Fetal Monitoring certification for labor and delivery
- NRP certification for neonatal intensive care
Skills

Department Specific Credentials
ONCC Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Provider Certificate required for certain areas. APHON Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Provider card required within 12 months of hire for oncology. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required for certain areas. PALS required for pediatric areas. NRP certification required for neonatal intensive care. Certification in Fetal Monitoring required for labor and delivery. ACLS and BLS Certifications required for fellowship programs. Newly licensed RNs have six (6) months to obtain ACLS and, or PALS.
