About the role

We provide direct patient care in a specialty unit, adhering to the organization's scope and standards of practice. Our team collaborates across disciplines to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates learning needs of patients and families and provides appropriate education.
• Collaborates with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care, including discharge planning, referrals, and psychosocial support.
• Delegates tasks to support staff as needed.
• Makes plans, implements, and evaluates patient care based on assessments.
• Maintains accurate documentation of patient conditions.
• Communicates patient conditions as necessary.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• National Registered Nurse (RN) license from the State of Florida
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association
• Completion of an accredited nursing program
• One year of nursing experience required

Qualifications

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required for certain departments
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required for certain pediatric areas
• National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) certification required for certain areas
• Fetal monitoring certification required for labor and delivery units
