Job Summary and Responsibilities
- Absorbs knowledge and skills necessary for patient care in the designated practice setting.
- Performs assessment and analysis of patient problems and conditions using critical decision-making to determine the need for standard, urgent, or emergency interventions.
- Implements and/or modifies the plan of care using assessment data, standards of care, and evidence-based practice, including nursing care coordination, appropriate patient and family education, and discharge planning. Facilitates interdisciplinary collaboration in patient care.
- Integrates ethical considerations in nursing practice and delivers care in a manner that respects patient autonomy, dignity, and rights.
- Administers medications, IV therapy, and treatments in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Evaluates progress towards attaining desired patient outcomes.
Required
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Registered Nurse: KY, upon hire.
- Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire.

CHI Saint Joseph East is a 217-bed, full-service hospital located in Lexington, Kentucky. It also includes the Women's Hospital at Saint Joseph East, which is dedicated to supporting the well-being of women in Central and Eastern Kentucky and serves a 16-bed Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).

Pay and Recognition
The posted compensation range of $37.20 - $37.20 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.
