About the role
We are seeking a Registered Nurse for our 4th Floor Moffitt McKinley ICU, a Surgical Intensive Care Unit that provides care for critically ill medical and surgical patients requiring intubation, vasopressors, CRRT, and other critical care modalities. This dynamic environment offers CRRT classes and quarterly education workshops.
The Registered Nurse delivers individualized, quality nursing care to cancer patients and families in accordance with established hospital guidelines, the nursing professional practice model, and nursing care standards. Nurses embody Moffitt’s vision, mission, and philosophy, committing to patient and family-centered care through Duffy’s quality caring model and the nursing process.
Responsibilities
- Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, and evaluate the care of cancer patients and families.
- Integrates patient and family-centered care and the quality caring factors into practice.
- Identifies, documents, and provides patient education based on learning needs.
- Participates in evidence-based improvement activities related to area of practice.
- Engages in professional development based on nursing professional standards, regulatory requirements, and job expectations.
Requirements
- BSN from an ACEN or CCNE accredited institution with at least one year of relevant experience or ASN from an ACEN or CCNE accredited institution with 1 year of relevant experience.
- Current FL RN license or valid Multi-State privilege to practice in FL (must declare FL as primary state of residence within 30 days of hire if licensed in another eNLC compact state).
- BLS Certification.
- ACLS Certification.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
- 2 years of inpatient hospital experience.
- ICU or PACU experience as a registered nurse.
- Experience caring for post-operative patients.
- National nursing specialty certifications (preferred).
Pay
Salary range: $40.27 - $60.40 per hour. Actual compensation may vary based on experience, skills, education, and internal equity.
