RN -- Special Labor & Delivery Unit
About the role
The RN will provide direct nursing care in the 2-bed M24 Special Delivery Unit, serving complex obstetrical populations during delivery. Responsibilities include implementing, monitoring, evaluating, updating and revising patient care plans, administering prescribed medications and treatments, noting and carrying out physician and nursing orders, assessing and coordinating patients' discharge needs, and educating patients and their families.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care.
- Implement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patients’ conditions.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
- Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
- Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
- Educate patients and their families.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
- One-year of current acute care RN experience. Will consider military RN experience.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of science in nursing (BSN) preferred.
Skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential. Proficiency in computer systems and software is required.

Pay
Minimum hourly: $35.50
Maximum hourly: $55.60
