RN - Smith County Emergency Hospital - Emergency Department - PRN

About the role

Emergency Department Nurse performs nursing interventions in the Emergency Room setting, providing urgent healthcare to stabilize patients' vital signs and limit pain and discomfort.

Responsibilities

• Triage incoming patients based on level of injury or illness
• Immediately stabilize incoming patients
• Administer medication as instructed by physicians
• Start intravenous lines
• Give patients stitches and sutures
• Create and maintain incoming patient records
• Work with a team of emergency staff to help patients
• Help transfer stable patients to other wings

Requirements

• Current license with MS State Board of Nursing
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• PALS certification
• TNCC certification
• Experience preferred
