RN - Emergency Department - PRN

About the role

Responsible for delivering direct patient care requiring complex assessments and interventions, ensuring safety and adherence to policies.

Responsibilities

• Collect comprehensive health data and triage patients based on age, development, and cultural sensitivity to prioritize care.
• Analyze assessment data to identify diagnoses or issues and develop individualized care plans with expected outcomes.
• Implement, coordinate, and educate to promote health and safety, while evaluating patient progress.
• Communicate effectively across practice areas and demonstrate professional leadership.
• Apply evidence-based practices tailored to patients' clinical and age-specific needs.
• Perform duties in a safe, alert manner and perform other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program or equivalent.
• Active RN license in the relevant state or eligible through a compact license.
• Current BLS and ALS certifications; additional certifications like ENPC, NRP, PALS, TNCC, or equivalent are preferred.

Physical and technical skills

• Constant standing, walking, communication, visual and auditory acuity.
• Ability to lift and move patients and equipment.
