About the role
Assists the Director/Manager through supervising the day-to-day department activities. Facilitates, coordinates, and evaluates unit activities for the provision of quality patient care within the framework of the mission, vision, and values of Baptist Health. Serves as a mentor and team lead for the staff.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate and coordinate unit activities for quality patient care.
- Evaluate departmental activities to ensure compliance with standards of care.
- Supervise and mentor staff members to enhance their skills and performance.
- Communicate effectively with patients, guests, and coworkers to provide excellent care.
- Coordinate activities among staff to ensure seamless operations.
- Ensure adherence to trauma/ED standards of care practices and procedures.
Requirements
- Associate's degree in Nursing required and 4 years of Staff Nurse experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing required and 2 years of Staff Nurse experience in the department is preferred.
- Active RN licensure required.
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required, with ACLS and PALS within 6 months of hire.

- Some exposure to hazardous chemicals.
- Some exposure to radiation.
