Role Summary

Cook up the risk management program to meet organizational needs. Review and analyze occurrence reports related to quality, regulatory issues, and insurance concerns. Investigate reportable incidents and coordinate with authorities as required. Lead Root Cause Analysis investigations and support peer review with departments and clinical chairs. Maintain the risk management information system database. Prepare incident summary reports and provide complete documentation for investigations and resolutions. Facilitate peer review and ensure implementation of safety solutions. Identify organizational risks through trend analysis and reporting. Collaborate with on-site investigators and participate in risk assessments. Serve as a resource and present risk issues for discussion and evaluation. Stay current on regulatory requirements related to risk management. Respond to inquiries on incidents and professional liability matters. Provide after-hours on-call support for staff inquiries. Participate in committees that promote quality of care. Assist in developing educational programs on risk exposure and professional liability.

Benefits

  • Flexible schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm.
  • Hours: 40 hours per week.
  • Duration: Through FT backfill; anticipated 6+ months.
  • On-Call: Possible risk on-call rotation every 4th week.
  • Holidays: Holiday rotation applies.
