About the role
The Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver responsible for a group of patients, providing comprehensive nursing care using the nursing process, current trends, technology, and resources within the institution's philosophy.
Responsibilities
- Performing all duties specific to the unit and scope of practice, including initial patient assessments and developing individualized care plans based on patient and family needs.
- Implementing, evaluating, and modifying care plans and interventions to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Documenting nursing care accurately and maintaining up-to-date records for the healthcare team.
- Ensuring patient and staff safety by reporting hazards and incidents.
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and achieve patient goals.
- Providing patient education, teaching disease processes, and developing self-care skills for patients and families.
- Participating in team meetings, rounds, and continuous professional development.
Qualifications
- Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) with current licensure and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Associate's Degree or higher education in nursing, with relevant experience.
