RN - Registered Nurse - PRN - St. Vincent's
About the role
The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for utilizing the nursing process to provide individualized nursing care to residents. They collaborate with residents, families, and other interdisciplinary colleagues to plan, implement, and evaluate care. They care for residents in all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, and treatment. They may serve as charge nurse and delegate tasks to licensed and unlicensed assistive personnel.
Responsibilities
- Utilize the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate care for residents.
- Collaborate with residents, families, and other interdisciplinary colleagues to plan, implement, and evaluate care.
- Provide comprehensive care in all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, and treatment.
- Coordinate care, perform resident assessments, educate residents, and manage various nursing interventions.
- Serve as charge nurse and delegate appropriate tasks to licensed and unlicensed assistive personnel.
- Ensure the safe and reliable administration of resident care and resolve care and service concerns.
- Practice within the scopes and standards of nursing practice as outlined in the Nurse Practice Act and Administrative Rules in state of practice and licensure.
Requirements
- Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program (preferred).
- Bachelor’s Degree in nursing preferred.
- Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possesses multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state.
- Obtains and maintains required department-specific competencies and certifications.
Qualifications
