Job Summary
Geisinger offers per diem Inpatient RN positions with market-leading pay rates and up to $7 shift differential for evenings, nights, and weekends.
Job Duties
- Assesses, plans, organizes, and performs nursing activities to meet patient needs.
- Promotes adaptive responses and maximizes patient satisfaction through compassionate care.
- Coordinates patient care and interacts with staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintains patient and family education, addresses family needs, and facilitates discharge planning.
- Provides direct patient care, administers treatments, medications, and diagnostic studies.
- Evaluates nursing interventions and adjusts plans based on patient responses.
- Safeguards equipment and participates in unit-based decision-making.
- Participates in quality and safety education programs and contributes to departmental and organizational metrics.

The newly renovated, state-of-the-art Adult Advanced Acute Care Medical Unit (BP2) offers private rooms equipped with advanced technology to support patient care and staff efficiency. The unit is supported by a visible and engaged leadership team dedicated to fostering a culture of safety, best practices, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Qualifications
- Graduate from a Specialty Training Program-Nursing
- Basic Life Support Certification
- Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in Pennsylvania
