Responsibilities

• Educates patients regarding procedures and tests, and other hospital policies.
• Conducts patient care activities with respect for privacy and confidentiality.
• Identifies and responds to life-threatening situations appropriately.
• Affords assistance in the organization and coordination of patients to promote efficient flow within the department.
• Collaborates with staff as a team player to ensure quality patient care.
• Addresses ethical issues in patient care, such as Living Wills and Durable Power of Attorney.
• Uses appropriate forms with high accuracy and attention to detail.
• Responds promptly and effectively to patient and guest needs.
• Receives and places reports in patient charts to prevent delays and complications.
• Informs physicians of abnormal results as soon as possible.
• Notifies appropriate team when patients are available for pre-op interviewing.
• Performs EKGs.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Computer skills [Required]
• Education: Associate's of Nursing [Required], Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred]
• Work Experience: 1+ clinical nursing [Required]
• Licenses And Certifications: Registered Nurse (RN) [Required], Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required], Advanced Cardiac Life Support Cert (ACLS) [Required]

$31.53 - $52.24 per hour
