RN - Registered Nurse - Outpatient Wound Care

About the role

The Wound Care Registered Nurse at BayCare Bartow, FL provides care to a specialized group of patients using the nursing process and clinical standards. This role involves delegating appropriate patient care activities to other healthcare professionals and promoting evidence-based clinical care.

Responsibilities

• Care for a specialized group of patients using the nursing process and clinical standards.
• Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team.
• Ensures professional accountability and development according to best practice standards set by a nationally recognized specialty organization.
• Performs the role of preceptor and charge nurse when assigned.
• Promotes evidence-based clinical care that exemplifies the pursuit of clinical excellence.

Requirements

• RN license is required.
• BLS certification is required.
• Experience: 1 year acute care experience or 1 year interventional/procedural experience or 6 months RN acute care or interventional/procedural experience with prior LPN experience and completed competency assessment.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Nursing.
