RN - Registered Nurse - Neuro ICU - Days

About the role

Every day, our Registered Nurses deliver a level of excellence and compassionate care to our patients in the Intensive Care Unit at Morton Plant Hospital – Neuro ICU/CCU – Clearwater, Florida.

Responsibilities

• Care for patient needs throughout their recovery in critical care
• Monitors, records, and updates care team on patient vitals and assessments
• Identifies sudden or subtle changes in a patient’s medical condition and responds to medical emergencies for critical patients
• Carefully coordinates and documents appropriate discharge planning and referrals to ensure continuity of care after discharge
• Works in a hospital setting and independently cares for a group of ICU patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards
• Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team
• Ensures high emotional intelligence to create a positive patient care experience that includes simplifying medical terminology and concepts to the patient

Requirements

• RN (Registered Nurse) License
• Diploma, Associate’s, Bachelor's or Higher in Nursing
• 1-year RN experience in the ICU in an Acute Care setting
• BLS certification with the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
• ACLS certification with the American Heart Association
