About the role

The RN is responsible for providing clinical assistance and support in treating and managing the pre and post-transplant care of transplant patients. They act as a key member of the multidisciplinary transplant team, solve complex clinical problems, and communicate directly with the attending physician.

Responsibilities

• Acts as a key member of the multidisciplinary transplant team.
• Solves complex clinical problems and communicates directly with the attending physician.
• Consultant and liaison for patients and their families with attending physicians, house staff, social workers, financial and administrative staff, and community physicians.
• Provides teaching to patients, staff, and community organizations.
• Collaborate with attending physicians on admissions, discharges, urgent evaluations and patient education, primarily in the hospital setting.
• Works closely with the administrative team to fulfill QA and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Must be a graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• RN License issued by the State of California.
• BART or BLS certification at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six months of hire date.
• Kidney Transplant Coordinator experience or two (2) years of recent acute care RN experience in a dedicated Solid Organ Transplant Unit.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to manage multiple levels of information and responsibilities, and to quickly assess moderately-complex problems to develop potential solutions.
• Must be able to function in a fast-paced environment, have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and consistently demonstrate empathy and kindness to all staff and patients.
• Demonstrates critical thinking and clinical skills to identify and implement nursing interventions and evaluate results.
• Excellent skills to communicate and influence effectively with all levels of staff, physicians, patients and external constituents, both verbally and in writing.

Qualifications

• BSN.
• ACLS and/or ART certification.
• Epic experience.
• Phoenix Experience.

Pay

Annual Full Pay Range: $138,330 - $193,892 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%). Hourly Equivalent: $66.25 - $92.86.

Schedule

Days, 8-Hour Shifts, Monday-Friday.
