Responsibilities

• Perform all aspects of Radiology nursing, including assessment, evaluation, and coordination of nursing care.
• Conduct patient assessment, patient and family teaching, and triage.
• Provide primary clinical support to the provider and patient to assist in diagnosis and treatment.
• Follow up on diagnostic testing to ensure completion, accuracy, and filing in the electronic medical record.
• Administer medications and treatments according to policy and procedure.
• Assess patient responses to medications and testing per protocols and document in the medical record.
• Prepare patients for procedures, including reviewing history and medication lists.
• Assess patients’ physical status and understanding of the procedure.
• Provide patient and family education.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of nursing interventions and revise care based on patient response.
• Provide Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
• Perform emergency procedures and transport equipment to the patient’s bedside when necessary.
• Start and regulate oxygen.
• Assist with patient transport as required.
• Assist with therapies, including assessing vitals and administering medications.
• Support orientation of personnel and students.
• Assess lab results prior to procedures.
• Assist throughout the Radiology department with nursing needs.

Requirements

• Graduate from a specialty training program in Nursing (Required).
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience (Required).
• Critical care RN experience preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
• Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Pennsylvania.
