RN - Registered Nurse - Interventional Radiology

About the role

The Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse at BayCare assists in the performance of diagnostic and invasive procedures. They independently function during these procedures with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Aids in the performance of diagnostic and invasive procedures under the supervision of a physician.
• Assists in the preparation of patients for procedures and monitors their condition during and after the procedure.
• Collaborates with other healthcare professionals to ensure patient safety and optimal care.
• Maintains accurate documentation of patient care and procedures performed.
• Participates in ongoing education and training related to interventional radiology techniques and protocols.

Requirements

• Current RN license.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Associate's degree in nursing.
• One year of experience in Cath Lab, Interventional Radiology, Electrophysiology, Emergency Department, or Critical Care, or two years of experience in Tele/Progressive Care.

Qualifications

• Experience in a hospital setting preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Skills

• Proficiency in medical terminology and anatomy.
• Knowledge of interventional radiology equipment and techniques.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Schedule

Shift 1: 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Occasional on-call work may be required.
