Status: Full Time
Shift: 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM (every other weekend required)
On Call: Yes (in person)

Requirements

  • RN (Registered Nurse) License
  • Diploma, Associate’s, Bachelor's, or higher in Nursing (Bachelor's preferred)
  • 1 year of RN experience in Hemodialysis in an Acute Care setting
  • BLS certification with the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
  • ACLS certification with the American Heart Association

Responsibilities

  • Work in a hospital setting and independently care for a group of Dialysis patients using the nursing process and clinical standards
  • Delegate appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team
  • Care for patient needs throughout their recovery in critical care
  • Monitor, record, and update the care team on patient vitals and assessments
  • Identify sudden or subtle changes in a patient’s medical condition
  • Respond to medical emergencies for critical patients
  • Coordinate and document appropriate discharge planning and referrals to ensure continuity of care after discharge
  • Demonstrate high emotional intelligence to create a positive patient care experience, including simplifying medical terminology and concepts for patients
  • Maintain professional accountability and development
