In our Dialysis Unit, we maintain a fast-paced environment to meet the needs of those in the most acute phases of end stage kidney disease. Our Nurses demonstrate highly advanced skills in patient assessment/intervention, teamwork, and crisis management. We orient new nurses to our unit by providing a 6-10 week orientation with a dedicated preceptor team, complemented by a program of critical care courses and a nurse residency program for new graduates.

Responsibilities

  • Assessment/reassessment – Systematically assesses/reassesses the healthcare needs of individuals, appropriate for specific age groups and patient conditions. Involves patient, family, and other healthcare providers as appropriate.
  • Nursing Diagnosis and Outcomes – Analyzes assessment to determine nursing diagnosis and expected outcomes, involving patient, family, and other healthcare providers as appropriate.
  • Implementation and Coordination of Care – Provides nursing care through interventions to achieve goals and needs using professional judgment guided by current evidence-based practice, regulations, and policy.
  • Evaluation – Evaluates patient outcomes by utilizing the critical thinking process and evidence-based knowledge to recognize problems, evaluate facts, and reach sound conclusions.
  • Evaluates discharge needs related to plan of care utilizing resources as needed.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Associate’s degree (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master's of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
  • Previous experience in the healthcare field preferred (requirements can be met by the equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • Current Oklahoma Registered Nurse license or active Multistate RN license.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) training or retraining is required during orientation prior to providing patient care; must be maintained through re-training for duration of employment.

Pay

$27.84–$45.46/hr depending on previous work experience. Additional differentials: $2.50/hr for evening shifts, $3.00/hr for night shifts, and $3.00/hr for weekend shifts.

Schedule

7:00 AM–7:00 PM. 6–7 call shifts every 6 weeks.
