About the role
Every day, our Registered Nurses deliver a level of excellence and compassionate care to our patients in the Hemodialysis department.
Responsibilities
- Works in a hospital setting and independently cares for a group of Dialysis patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards
- Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team
- Care for patient needs throughout their recovery in critical care
- Monitor, record, and update care team on patient vitals and assessments. Identifying sudden or subtle changes in a patient’s medical condition
- Responding to medical emergencies for critical patients
- Codifies and documents appropriate discharge planning and referrals to ensure continuity of care after discharge
- High emotional intelligence to create a positive patient care experience that includes simplifying medical terminology and concepts to the patient
Requirements
- RN (Registered Nurse) License
- Diploma, Associate’s, Bachelor's or Higher in Nursing
- 1-years' RN experience in the Hemodialysis in an Acute Care setting
- BLS certification with the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
- ACLS certification with the American Heart Association
