RN Registered Nurse First Assist

About the Role

We are seeking an Operating Room First Assistant Registered Nurse to join our team. You will provide clinical expertise to ensure all patients receive high-quality, efficient care in a surgical environment. As part of our amazing team, you'll work alongside dedicated professionals who prioritize patient care and support each other in delivering exceptional outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate the care of intra-operative patients.
• Assist surgeons in operative procedures.
• Maintain and review patients’ records, including posting tests and examination results.
• Administer medications in accordance with physician orders.

Requirements

• Licensed as a Florida Registered Nurse or ARNP in accordance with state regulations or appropriate compact licensure. If compact license held, active FL RN license required within 60 days of hire.
• Graduate of an accredited program by CAAHEP (Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs) and the State of Florida Surgical Assistant Program, or Medical School Graduate, or Allied Health professional having completed 2250 hours surgical rotation.
• Current Certified First Assistant (CFA) having completed 350 cases.
• Two years of experience within the last four years.
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
• Current Certification as First Assistant (CFA) required.
• Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to read/comprehend written instructions and follow verbal instructions.
• PC skills.
