About the role

The Registered Nurse (RN), Medical Surgical Float Pool, provides comprehensive nursing care across various medical-surgical units.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
• Administer medications and manage IV fluids
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure patient safety
• Manage pain and recognize changes in patient condition to take appropriate action
• Provide patient and family education
• Ensure infection control and document care accurately
• Support discharge planning and participate in performance improvement initiatives
• Perform evidence-based interventions and contribute to quality improvement
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and efficient environment, adhering to hospital policies and standards
• Participate in ongoing education and support a culture of excellence in nursing practice

Requirements

• Active RN license in Missouri, Illinois, Oklahoma, or Wisconsin
• BLS certification
• Critical care experience preferred
• Maintain knowledge of age-specific care, safety protocols, and infection control standards
• Maintain required certifications and participate in ongoing education
