About the Role

The Registered Nurse (RN), Medical Surgical Float Pool provides comprehensive nursing care across various Medical Surgical units.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and document all care activities.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Educate patients and families on health management and discharge planning.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols, including infection control, fall prevention, and restraint management.
• Recognize and report changes in patient conditions promptly.
• Provide age-appropriate and culturally sensitive care.
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives.
• Maintain current knowledge of policies and procedures.
• Support a respectful, collaborative work environment.
• Respond to emergency situations and promote quality patient outcomes.

Requirements

• Current RN licensure in applicable states.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Critical care experience preferred.
• Ability to adapt to changing demands and priorities.
• Demonstrated professionalism, effective communication, and teamwork.
• Adherence to safety and infection control standards.
• Compliance with mandatory certifications and professional standards.
