About the Role
The Registered Nurse (RN), Medical Surgical Float Pool provides comprehensive nursing care across various Medical Surgical units.
Responsibilities
- Conduct patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and document all care activities.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Educate patients and families on health management and discharge planning.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols, including infection control, fall prevention, and restraint management.
- Recognize and report changes in patient conditions promptly.
- Provide age-appropriate and culturally sensitive care.
- Participate in performance improvement initiatives.
- Maintain current knowledge of policies and procedures.
- Support a respectful, collaborative work environment.
- Respond to emergency situations and promote quality patient outcomes.
Requirements
- Current RN licensure in applicable states.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Critical care experience preferred.
- Ability to adapt to changing demands and priorities.
- Demonstrated professionalism, effective communication, and teamwork.
- Adherence to safety and infection control standards.
- Compliance with mandatory certifications and professional standards.
