RN Radiology

A leading outpatient healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Radiology Registered Nurse (RN) to join its imaging team in Commack, NY. This position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative, patient-focused environment supporting a wide range of diagnostic and interventional imaging procedures. Schedule 4 x 10-hour shifts per week Shifts scheduled between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM Monday through Saturday Responsibilities Provide nursing care for patients undergoing radiology and imaging procedures. Perform patient assessments and monitor patients before, during, and after procedures. Start and maintain IV access and administer medications as ordered. Access and manage mediports and central lines safely and effectively. Educate patients and families regarding procedures, recovery expectations, and follow-up care. Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation. Qualifications Active RN license required. Previous experience in Radiology Strong IV insertion and vascular access skills required. Experience accessing and managing mediports and central lines required. Knowledge of imaging modalities and radiology workflows preferred. BLS certification required; additional certifications preferred. Excellent communication, critical-thinking, and patient care skills.
