About the role

You’ll play a critical role in ensuring patients receive timely, efficient, and compassionate care from the moment they arrive in the Emergency Department. You’ll oversee patient movement, balance department resources, and work closely with clinical and operational teams to maintain a steady flow that supports both quality care and staff efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborating with Emergency Department staff to ensure appropriate patient placement and efficient movement throughout all stages of care
  • Coordinating EMS transports and triage operations to support timely room assignments, hand-offs, and safe transitions of care
  • Prioritizing patient transfers and admissions from the Emergency Department
  • Monitoring staffing levels and patient volumes to recommend optimal scheduling that maintains safe and effective workflow
  • Analyzing wait times, test turnaround, and other throughput indicators to identify process improvements and promote operational efficiency
  • Acting as a liaison between physicians, patients, families, and hospital departments to foster communication, teamwork, and exceptional patient experiences

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse
  • Associate Degree
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support, or CPR must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • 5 years experience Required
  • Quality experience preferred
