Job Summary

Responsible for the planning, development, coordination and implementation, evaluation of hospital-wide process improvements resulting in more effective and efficient care to patients. Collaborate with and act as consultant for department leaders and staff for data-driven approach to PI using statistical tools for data analysis. Advise, implement and evaluate measures resulting in better healthcare and operational outcomes in accordance with current laws and regulations. Develop and manage quality assurance activities including database management, quality trending reports and internal regulatory compliance documentation. Evaluate data to prioritize process improvement initiatives and evaluate effectiveness of programs on both hospital operations and the health of the patient. Lead and/or actively participate in task forces or groups to positively impact patient safety. Help to ensure compliance with statutory mandates, regulatory requirements and accreditation standards of professional organizations such as the Joint Commission. Disseminates information and research related to changes in regulatory requirements and clinical research pertinent to potential liability exposures and safety issues. Respond to Patient Safety concerns as requested.

Qualifications

  • (RN) Registered Nurse
  • Associate Degree
  • Hospital patient safety / risk management experience
  • 2 years experience Required Years of Experience
