RN - Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine Unit (0.9 FTE, Nights)

About the role

We are looking to hire a 0.9 FTE Night Shift RN for our Psych and Behavioral Medicine Unit (PBMU).

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, family-centered patient care using the Nursing Care Process.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in collaboration with the patient and patient's family, significant others, and members of the health care team.
• May be required to provide supervision and delegation of tasks to Nurse Technicians, Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Medical Assistants, Certified Nursing Assistants, and others as defined by the State Administrative Code.
• Assist in meeting Seattle Children's strategic goals by incorporating initiatives to support the strategic plans into the daily work.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Prior experience in a pediatric related health care setting, or a specific area of nursing, may be required for specific departments.
• Current Washington State RN License.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers.
• Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition and Stabilization (PEARS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications are required for certain positions.

Qualifications

• Must adhere to Seattle Children's policies/procedures and guidelines of care.
• Must function within the Scope of Practice as defined by the State, the ANA Scope and Standards for Pediatric Nursing Practice.

• Strong clinical judgment and decision-making abilities.
