About the Role

As our Clinical Nurse, you will be a central figure in our patient care team, delivering exceptional, compassionate care that truly makes a difference in our patients' lives. Every day you will collaborate on comprehensive screenings, conduct critical risk assessments, provide vital preventative health education, and expertly coordinate care for diverse patient populations, leveraging technology to streamline processes. You'll ensure patients feel informed and at ease, patiently guiding them through instructions and addressing their concerns.

To be successful in this role, you will combine robust clinical knowledge and technological proficiency with genuine compassion, strong communication skills, and an adaptable approach to learning and patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to established Hospital/departmental policies and procedures, objectives, Quality Assessment and Improvement Program, legal, safety, environmental, infection control standards, Nurse Practices Act, and Patient's Bill of Rights.
  • Apply clinical knowledge and expertise for coordinating patient care by regularly planning and evaluating the care of patients.
  • Establish and maintain professional and collaborative relationships with other staff members, physicians, patients, patient family members, and the public as appropriate, while assuring confidentiality of all patient information.
  • Demonstrate effective nursing judgement and a working knowledge of the nursing process.
  • Provide guidance to interdisciplinary team members by supervising nursing interventions and assisting with related tasks.
  • Provide leadership by establishing priorities and coordinating nursing care.

Requirements

  • Current and Active Registered Nurse: CA
  • Minimum 3 years current acute care registered nursing experience in specialty area
  • AHA Basic Life Support
  • Fire Safety certification, within 90 days of hire

We are not currently accepting new graduate or new to specialty applications. The most current information for new graduate (<12 months experience as an RN) and fellowship programs (>12 months experience as an RN) can be found at National Nurse Residency Program.

This position is represented by SEIU L121 and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with EHR (Cerner, MediTech, etc.)
  • Psychiatric & Mental Health Clinical Nurse Specialist certification

Pay

$63.88 - $90.92 per hour
