RN Progressive Care Unit
About the Role
At TriStar Southern Hills Medical Center, you’ll coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in the Progressive Care Unit. As a Registered Nurse, you will collaborate with medical providers to provide pre-operative and post-operative nursing care, advocate for patients, and support an unparalleled patient experience.
Responsibilities
- Assess patient condition during admission and each shift, identifying and reporting changes in patient status.
- Perform procedures or other functions as ordered by the medical provider.
- Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
- Administer prescribed medications and monitor patient response.
- Maintain knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment used in the care of cardiac and medical-surgical patients.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse with an Associate Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- NIH Stroke Scale certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
