RN Program Specialist - Magnet Program Coordinator

About the role

This role is instrumental in supporting and advancing our Magnet journey while strengthening a culture of nursing excellence across the Fargo Region. We are looking for a highly organized, collaborative professional with strong communication skills who enjoys building relationships and working with leaders and staff at all levels of the organization. The successful candidate will bring positive energy, creativity, and a genuine passion for elevating the nursing voice, inspiring engagement, and celebrating the impact nurses have on patient care and organizational success.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and synthesize data to maximize utilization of data in clinical decision-making, business and strategic initiative.
  • Coordinate educational activities associated with orientation and ongoing training.
  • Establish close working relationships with clinical and non-clinical partners.
  • Promote optimal patient care through clinical activities and data analysis.
  • Maintain working knowledge of regulations regarding data collection, submission and documentation.
  • Gather and analyze feedback from various stakeholders and disseminate the results.
  • Help analyze risks and benefits of alternative approaches and obtain decision on resolution.
  • Plan and schedule daily work load independently.
  • Adapt in a changing environment.
  • Communicate effectively across all levels and functions of the organization.
  • Build, manage, and maintain working relationships internal and external to the organization.
  • Resolve conflicts and effectively problem solve.
  • Work independently yet recognize accountability to the department and organization.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned for the needs of the program.
  • Where applicable: assist project team in grant post award activities, maintain grant and contract files, review contracts, develop progress reports, and review closed grant for completeness.
  • Demonstrate effective grant management with project management, prioritization, planning, organization, and presentation skills.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing required.
  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program preferred, including, but not limited to, American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA).
  • Minimum of three years' clinical experience related to specialty, e.g. trauma, oncology, research, critical care.
  • Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state.
  • Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications related to specialty.

Qualifications

  • Possesses a strong clinical background.
  • Able to effectively educate others.
  • Able to communicate effectively, both verbally and written.
  • Possesses strong public relations skills, time management skills, and positive personal relations.
  • Proficient in computer software and demonstrate high personal and professional commitments.
  • A Master's degree is preferred.

Pay

Salary Range: $32.00 - $48.00

Schedule

8 Hours - Day Shifts, Full time, 40.00 hours per week
