RN PDP - Team 1 ICU (Casual), Allegheny General
About the role
This position is a casual role covering 24 hours every two weeks with rotation including weekends and holidays per policy. The role is not eligible for time off or medical benefits and is represented by a union.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrates clinical assessment and care planning skills.
- Provides safe and effective care for the age population served according to regulatory requirements.
- Professionally directs and manages the activities of the patient care delivery by the team members.
- Collaborates with the multidisciplinary team for the plan of care from admission through discharge.
- Assesses learning needs of patient and family and provides education based on age, culture and willingness to learn.
- Mentors and precepts nurses.
The unit
Allegheny General’s PDP Team are highly trained expert RNs who cover all areas of AGH based on their specialty and clinical expertise. Variety in the types of patients and the level of patient acuity prepares nurses to care for the most critically ill patients.

Requirements
- Minimum 3 years acute care nursing experience required in ICU.
- Current State of PA RN licensure OR Current multi-state licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
- CPR – American Heart Association.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – American Heart Association.
- Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
- Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate.
- Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
